You will probably want someone to have a look at your thesis or any other really important paper before handing it in. At the same time you would most likely also want to see any changes or suggestions he or she might have made before either accepting or rejecting them, and not simply rely on blind faith. I myself do that regularly with other translators I cooperate with. This function is called Edit › Changes › Record. After getting your document back you can then Edit › Changes › Accept or Reject any changes made to your document. Alternatively you can right-click any marked passages and choose Accept Change or Reject Change.
