For short papers, say 6 to 10 pages, you will probably not need an extra, unnumbered page for the title. Rather all pages will be numbered and you will only need one page style for the whole document, namely Default. Instead of a standalone title page you will simply reserve the first quarter or so of the first text page for general information on the document:
- title
- course number
- lecturer’s name
- author(s)
- student ID
- date
- and lastly a separator line
