Ad design

  • Sean O'Quin can help

T-shirt design

  • Clytie Siddall can help
  • Nikash V. Singh can help

Designs need to be high impact two or three colour, no more. More colours impacts considerably on cost. Probably best to stick to T-shirts in these three colours: Royal Blue, White and Black and design art with one of those backgrounds.

T-Shirts are best for the younger market so art and slogans need to be funky!

Quote from my usual suppliers for a credit card sized and shaped USB drive. 256mb with two colour print and OOoPortable installed. $US14.50 not including tax. Conventional shaped drives are $US13.20. for 1000 units. 500 would be a little more.

Distribution

Below are some concrete proposals what can be done with the merchandise with a focus how our (Vodes.Net) initiatives can help promoting OpenOffice/Sun (in student circles). We can distribute it in Austria (Vienna, Graz, Salzburg), Sweden (Stockholm) and Czech Republic (Prague)

  • Merchandise as prize for participation in OO Course

Merchandise (T-Shirts, USB sticks) can be given to participants of OO courses. For instance, students who write their thesis or paper with our (or any other, more complex) thesis template would get a T-Shirt. If there is serious interest in this, we would make an improved thesis template and (multi-lingual) video tutorial on our templates' use.

  • Merchandise Appearance in fun Student Sport Videos

T-Shirts can be used to reward students who "lend" their sport skills to a "Team Openoffice/Sun" Video Highlight 1 within our ProFun Games.
