<frankl> Hi * clu_sun (n=cl114686@nat/sun/x-avhdupodjioxhfyt) hat #ux.openoffice.org betreten <frankl> It is time again for our weekly status meeting for Project Renaissance. <frankl> I want to give a short update on the 'Thinning Out Process for Impress' today. <frankl> The current status of this process can be found at the wiki: http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Renaissance:Impress <frankl> I am currently working on a specification regarding 'Object Selection Positioning and Modification': http://specs.openoffice.org/renaissance/object_selection_positioning_and_modification.odt <frankl> This specification deals with the selecting, positioning and modificating objects (shapes) behavior in Impress/Draw. Feedback welcome! <frankl> Furthermore we had a discussions how to improve the current task pane implementation in Draw/Impress. <frankl> Problem of the current implementation is that each additional group cost vertical space due to its header. Space that is rare especially on small devices like netbooks. <frankl> Therefore the new task pane uses a vertical toolbar containing the group headers as buttons/tabs. Christian Lippka made a first implementation of the proposal. Please see the following video for details: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPmfKN3JIqQ&fmt=22 <frankl> This concept will also work for menu buttons so that we can call task panes also also from horizontal toolbars. See the following video for details: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIpXYtj4LMQ <frankl> Christoph Noack will blog about this proposal soon. OOo UX Planet: http://planet.services.openoffice.org/ux/ <frankl> That's all for today from my side. <frankl> Bye!
