Introduction

More than a year has passed after the User Experience Project has initially been announced in January 2007 (Proposal, Announcement). In the first weeks, many ideas have been brought up how to organize and how to structure the project with the general goal to improve the success of OpenOffice.org (VibrantCommunity). Thanks to the continuous contributions of the User Experience community, the initial “incubator project” has officially been “accepted” in the meantime (Announcement).

Now it is time to look back and see what has been achieved so far and we can solve the remaining issues.

The next proposed steps are to develop a vision for our activities and to improve our User Experience development tools. If you are interested in starting one of these topics, then please do not hesitate to start a discussion at the ux-discuss mailing list.
