How do I insert a 'Euro' character?

To insert a Euro character:

On the Insert menu select Special Character.
Select "Currency Symbols" in the Subset field at the top of the dialog.
The Euro character should appear as U+20AC. It may not be available in all fonts.
Highlight the Euro character by clicking on it.
Click OK to insert.
