Keyboard shortcut

Keyboard shortcut for € symbol works with <alt> 0128.

Works under Windows. Other systems?--TJ (Talk | Contribs) 01:10, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
Does not work in Linux/KDE4.4 with OOo 3.2.0. The <alt> plus number is, as far as I know, a Windows only solution. I've never seen it work in Linux regardless of Desktop Environment used. --ccornell 17:37, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
This FAQ solution also skips over the possibility of using AltGr+5 (or AltGr+4 on some keyboard layouts). On all current OSes, you can select a keyboard map (in whatever your preferred language is) that includes € on the AltGr+5 or AltGr+4 key combination. (AltGr is the standard Alt key on the right side of the keyboard for keyboards that do not have a key labeled AltGr) --ccornell 07:18, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
