Talk:List of wishes
I just wish Calc could sort data in more than 3 columns.

Administration Guide / BASIC Programmers Guide / Developers Guide
Hi, I would like download this guides but this site only generates a only one page for each time... Can anybody work a link for download this documents or how I get this upgraded's documents:
- ) Administration Guide 3x.pdf (full copy wiki)
- ) BASIC Programmers Guide 3x.pdf (full copy wiki)
- ) Developers Guide 3x.pdf (full copy wiki)
- The functionality is there. You can create a Collection and download the collection as a PDF or an ODT. See: Help:Collections. There are already pre-defined Collections for the Administration Guide and the BASIC Guide. The link for the Collection can be found at the bottom of the first page of each of those guides. Other pre-defined Collections are being worked on. You can also create your own Collection of any combination of Wiki pages (the Help page should explain how to do this). --ccornell 10:02, 5 January 2009 (CET)
Presentation Export
I would like to be able to export presentations as self-contained executables (I don't know how hard that would be to program). Typically, I export to PDF. However, some presentation content requires that I play an animation in the presentation. If I export to PowerPoinnt, then none of my technical schematics and equations display correctly.
lock images in documents
I would like to be abble to lock images in documents. I want to make Forms by XML format and scan paper documents and put the fields over the background image to transform paperforms to digital forms. the anchor on page function is not solid enough, one wrong click and all the defined field are out of place.
OpenOffice Startup
The latest OpenOffice startup option is very elegantly composed. If I have an OpenOffice window already open and attempt to launch the program again, it takes me to the current window from which I can open whatever type of document I want. However, as I'm using Linux, if I have a window open on one desktop and want to launch OpenOffice on another desktop, it redirects me to my file on the wrong desktop. This makes it cumbersome to work on multiple files accross multiple desktops. I would like the option of turning this feature off such that OpenOffice would just launch like any other program. (But I would not want to lose the consolidation of having all my OpenOffice programs in a single icon.)
Formula Comments
Colors: There is currently a limited number of Formula colors (magenta, cyan, green, etcetera). It would be nice to be able to specify a color #F3902C based on its computer code.
Defaults: Inserting formulas has defaults of anchor, spacing to contents, fonts, and many other things. For all of my documents, I use particular settings for my formulas. I try to copy and paste formatted formulas as much as possible, but it would be more convenient if I could just modify the formula defaults.
Root Hatch: This may be too personal for a mainstream adjustment. When I use square roots, I like to draw a small line from the right hand side of the square root line to the midline of the expression. In complicated forms, I find it is sometimes unclear what is inside the square root and what is after it. I use that small vertical drop to separate the inside expression from everything else. For example, in the following form, it is not obvious at a glance that g is outside the square root and not in it.
A separation hatch may look a little like this:
Sorry, I can't seem to get the formulas to work right. I hope I conveyed the idea. I see no reason not to impliment it
Matrix Request
I rather enjoy the matrix functionality that has been built into Calc. They allow me to easily to regression fits to forms that I cannot do in Excel. I would like to be able to define the dimensions of a matrix according to reference values I place in other cells. Exempli gratia:
MMULT(ADDRESS(B2;C2):ADDRESS(B3;C3);ADDRESS(D2;E2):ADDRESS(D3;E3))
where the values in B2 to E3 are automatically adjusted according to the dimensions of arrays I'm working with.
(Presently, I'm restricted to the form: MMULT(B5:D7;F5:H7) )
