I want to protect some cells in OpenOffice.calc. So I select the cells and ensure the protection is ON. For the remaining cells I ensure the protections is OFF.

The "Protect Sheet" function activates the protection OK.

But the "Protect Document" function has no effect. This failed in OpenOffice version 2.0 I've just installed OpenOffice version 3.0 and it fails in that also.

Can anybody fix this, please?
