Return to January Meetings

[2009-01-21 14:00:02] <PhilippL> 1. Welcome new devs joining Mac OS X port
[2009-01-21 14:00:06] <PhilippL> Anybody new ?
[2009-01-21 14:00:31] <PhilippL> 2. Current state of the open child workspaces (CWS)
[2009-01-21 14:00:45] <PhilippL> currently working on RTL controls in CWS vcl99
[2009-01-21 14:01:25] <PhilippL> appleremote02 gets integrated
[2009-01-21 14:02:14] <mod_> PhilippL: did you test my macos patches or just integrated them?
[2009-01-21 14:02:19] <mod_> or looked at the code?
[2009-01-21 14:02:32] <PhilippL> I did all three.
[2009-01-21 14:02:47] <PhilippL> with the exception of zoom events, how does one trigger those ?
[2009-01-21 14:02:58] <mod_> did you change anything?
[2009-01-21 14:03:11] <PhilippL> I don't think so.
[2009-01-21 14:04:11] <PhilippL> Should I have ?
[2009-01-21 14:04:27] <mod_> no just
[2009-01-21 14:04:33] <mod_> wondering
[2009-01-21 14:05:00] <mod_> to trigger scrollign page/up down, you need to use three fingers
[2009-01-21 14:05:05] <PhilippL> ah.
[2009-01-21 14:05:18] <mod_> only available on the really new macbooks I think, not the older ones
[2009-01-21 14:05:28] <PhilippL> no, for page up/down, two fingers are sufficient :-)
[2009-01-21 14:05:48] <mod_> two fingers should just be regular scrolling, working out of the box
[2009-01-21 14:05:54] <mod_> at least that's how it works here
[2009-01-21 14:06:11] <PhilippL> oh
[2009-01-21 14:06:32] <PhilippL> well then I correct my statement to "looked at the code and integrated it"
[2009-01-21 14:07:28] <mod_> well, maybe old mac os code send swipe event for two fingers, no it sends a normal scroll event, so it works automatically
[2009-01-21 14:07:40] <mod_> for three fingers, it now sends swipe event
[2009-01-21 14:08:07] <mod_> as we have no influence what mac os sends us.........
[2009-01-21 14:08:54] <PhilippL> how new is a "really new" macbook ?
[2009-01-21 14:09:44] <mod_> the late 08 ones
[2009-01-21 14:09:59] <PhilippL> Then I couldn't have tested it anyway :-(
[2009-01-21 14:10:09] <PhilippL> I'll trust your code.
[2009-01-21 14:10:28] <mod_> I tested here locally, if you have looked at the code as well all should be fine.
[2009-01-21 14:10:57] <PhilippL> 3. # Schedule of macport meetings
[2009-01-21 14:11:16] <PhilippL> Is there anyone for a change in meeting intervals ?
[2009-01-21 14:11:38] <PhilippL> In light of the recent meeting protocols perhaps we can change to "meetings on demand".
[2009-01-21 14:11:57] <mod_> +1
[2009-01-21 14:12:05] <PhilippL> meaning keeping the wednesday point, but if someone wants a meeting he should announce on the mailing list.
[2009-01-21 14:12:23] <PhilippL> The channel is open anyway any time.
[2009-01-21 14:13:19] <hdu_hh> ++++1
[2009-01-21 14:13:37] <PhilippL> that's 3 ?
[2009-01-21 14:14:00] <PhilippL> the motion seems to be unanimously passed.
[2009-01-21 14:14:11] <PhilippL> I'll adjust the wiki page accordingly.
[2009-01-21 14:14:20] <PhilippL> 4. Roundtable
