[2008-02-13 14:09:38] <shaunmcdonald> hdu_hh: not so good, as that is cws is going to fix the pdf export bugs that have been annoying me for months.
[2008-02-13 14:10:12] <hdu_hh> shaunmcdonald: no problem, when aquavcl05 is out of the way I'll be onto it...
[2008-02-13 14:10:22] <shaunmcdonald> 8-)

[2008-02-13 14:15:19] <hdu_hh> loading documents got quite a bit faster...
[2008-02-13 14:16:36] <PhilippL> ok, any other CWS news ?
[2008-02-13 14:16:39] <hdu_hh> http://blogs.sun.com/GullFOSS/tags/aqua
[2008-02-13 14:16:53] <shaunmcdonald> brilliant, some of the complaints from users will disappear
[2008-02-13 14:17:18] <shaunmcdonald> (once we update the mac port pages)
[2008-02-13 14:17:25] <PhilippL> don't worry, they'll come up with new ones.
[2008-02-13 14:18:37] <shaunmcdonald> PhilippL: your not meant to say that! We're going to magically produce a product that everyone is so happy with that no-one is going to complain about it
[2008-02-13 14:18:45] <shaunmcdonald> :-D
[2008-02-13 14:19:08] <PhilippL> ok, I think we started
[2008-02-13 14:19:11] <PhilippL> 3. Roundtable
[2008-02-13 14:19:57] <shaunmcdonald> I'm fed up getting e-mails about how out of date the mac port pages are, and the fact that there hasn't been an updated download made available
[2008-02-13 14:20:30] <shaunmcdonald> So I'm proposing to update the download pages to point to the milestone builds.
[2008-02-13 14:20:31] <PhilippL> Yes. Do we have a volunteer for updating thos pages ?
[2008-02-13 14:20:40] <PhilippL> yes, good idea.
[2008-02-13 14:21:08] <shaunmcdonald> And also put a news item out with links to the various posts about the updates
[2008-02-13 14:21:22] <shaunmcdonald> to ooo aqua
[2008-02-13 14:21:44] <shaunmcdonald> including
[2008-02-13 14:21:45] <shaunmcdonald> http://blogs.sun.com/GullFOSS/entry/news_from_the_mac_aqua
[2008-02-13 14:21:57] <shaunmcdonald> http://tinos-diary.blogspot.com/2008/02/aqua-port-drag-coming-soon.html
[2008-02-13 14:22:12] <shaunmcdonald> http://blogs.sun.com/GullFOSS/entry/aqua_port_three_times_faster
[2008-02-13 14:22:52] <PhilippL> Incidentally, about which MacPort pages are we talking specifically ? The wiki ones ?
[2008-02-13 14:23:12] <shaunmcdonald> PhilippL: http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/
[2008-02-13 14:23:23] <shaunmcdonald> the place that users go for info on the mac port
[2008-02-13 14:24:14] <shaunmcdonald> I'm tempted to use the argument, that there hasn't been an update as developers have been busy working on the code in the run up to the code freeze deadlines
[2008-02-13 14:24:16] <PhilippL> Yes, somebody should update that. Would you volunteer ?
[2008-02-13 14:25:08] <shaunmcdonald> I'll make the time, between my soon to be paid mapping and paid includipedia work
[2008-02-13 14:25:31] <PhilippL> ah, new job ? Congratulations.
[2008-02-13 14:25:43] <shaunmcdonald> yeah
[2008-02-13 14:25:56] <shaunmcdonald> and another flexible short term one coming up
[2008-02-13 14:26:10] <shaunmcdonald> with potentially more work if I do well
[2008-02-13 14:26:21] <shaunmcdonald> much better than making rolls!
[2008-02-13 14:26:57] <PhilippL> hmm, "mediawiki has been successfully installed". Seems to be a new site.
[2008-02-13 14:27:15] <shaunmcdonald> yeah another thing on my todo list!
[2008-02-13 14:27:25] <shaunmcdonald> it is a start up that is a month and a half old
[2008-02-13 14:27:52] <shaunmcdonald> it's not ready for public use, be another month or two
[2008-02-13 14:28:08] <PhilippL> Interesting. It's for sharing code ?
[2008-02-13 14:28:25] <shaunmcdonald> it's an inclusive version of the wikipedia
[2008-02-13 14:29:10] <shaunmcdonald> there are deletionists who think that some articles shouldn't be in the wikipedia, but we belive that they should be
[2008-02-13 14:30:04] <PhilippL> Interesting.
[2008-02-13 14:31:27] <PhilippL> I think that concludes the meeting ?
[2008-02-13 14:31:29] <shaunmcdonald> Yeah much better than spending 1.5 to 2.5 hours a day each direction commuting to Glasgow to work on some mobile software
[2008-02-13 14:31:55] <shaunmcdonald> Blimy I thought meetings were 2+ hours long
[2008-02-13 14:32:14] <PhilippL> well, not many people active toda.
[2008-02-13 14:32:51] <shaunmcdonald> true
[2008-02-13 14:33:08] <shaunmcdonald> I'm sure there are more GullFOSS articles that should be tagged aqua
