This is Chapter 16 of the OpenOffice.org 3 Writer Guide, produced by the OOoAuthors group.

This chapter has been replaced by the Math Guide.

What is Math?

Math is OpenOffice.org (OOo)’s component for writing mathematical equations. It is most commonly used as an equation editor for text documents, but it can also be used with other types of documents or stand-alone. When used inside Writer, the equation is treated as an object inside the text document.

This chapter is now a separate document, the OpenOffice.org Math Guide. You can get a copy from the OpenOffice.org Documentation wiki, http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/OOo3_User_Guides/Math_Guide
