Switch from svn to git

We have an ongoing discussion to switch from SVN to GIT. While it is assumed that all active contributors know (or can learn) both system, there are a couple of challenges due to the way (and size of the project) we work.

Trunk

All work in trunk is straight forward and can standard GIT commands.

The exception is pootle that cannot work with git only svn. This means that we cannot enable direct commit in the UI.

ooo-site

CMS is built around SVN and cannot use GIT.
