We already talked about frames, their use and how to create them: each inserted picture, each Math object, each OLE object... is inside a frame with its own characteristics.

As almost everything on Writer, also the frames can be governed by styles. Regarding what was commented before, the frame styles do not offer big differences: clearly they lack the options to link two frames that cannot be administrated through styles and they have the Organizer tab to give the style a name and link it with another style.

Particularly notable with the frame styles is the impossibility to define the anchoring: as commented on the Issue 14008 - Allow anchor settings in frame styles (graphic-styles) this is not possible right now.
