What file formats does OpenOffice.org Writer support?
Many different types. The easiest way to see is to use the file dialog (File > Open) and look at the file types listed there.
Chapter 1, Introducing OpenOffice.org in the Getting Started Guide, has the file management information of how to open, save files, etc. Appendix B, Background Information, includes a list of supported file types. These chapters are available in free PDF from the OpenOffice.org 3.2 User Guides.
