The path settings service is the central service that manages the paths of Apache OpenOffice. Almost every component inside Apache OpenOffice uses one or more of the paths to access its resources located on the file system.

Users can customize most of the paths in Apache OpenOffice by choosing Tools → Options → OpenOffice → Paths.
