CLEAN
returns a text string with non-printable characters removed.
Syntax:
CLEAN(text)
- returns text with all non-printable characters removed.

- Spaces are not removed.

Example:
where cell A1 contains =CHAR(7) & "cat" & CHAR(8):
CLEAN(A1)
- returns cat. The 2 non-printable characters are removed.

LEN(CLEAN(A1))
- returns 3, the number of characters in cat.
