How do I assign a keyboard shortcut to a style?

You can assign keyboard shortcuts to frequently used paragraph and character styles. To assign keyboard shortcuts to frequently used paragraphs and character styles:

  1. Go to Tools > Customize.
  2. Click on the Keyboard tab.
  3. In the Category list, select Styles > Character Styles. In the Function list, click on the name of the style.
  4. Select a key combination and click Modify.
  5. Click OK to save the change.

Note: You can do the same on the Toolbars tab to assign a style to a toolbar button.
