From the Operating System Menu
When Apache OpenOffice was installed on your computer, a menu entry for each component was added to the system menu. Find Calc by going to Start → Programs → OpenOffice → OpenOffice Calc. On Mac, the components are accessed through the OpenOffice icon 
in the Applications folder. Double click the icon to open the Start Center.
From the Start Center
If no document is open in Apache OpenOffice, you can access the Start Center from the operating system menu and open Calc by clicking on the Spreadsheet link or pressing S on your keyboard.
Shortcuts
- With Calc open, Control + N opens a new spreadsheet document.
