Open Office has Write, draw, calc but no database.

I am a home user and I am running a NPO of volunteers.

Microsoft wants R2 700.00 for Access 2007. I cannot afford this.

I would like to use free Open source software.

Could a database be added to Open Office?

Thanking you.

Regards, Nigel Fitt

Nigel.... the chances of anyone stumbling on your Talk page are slim. I noticed only because I was reviewing the new pages added in the past 48 hours. If you want to ask questions, do not do it on the Wiki. The Wiki is designed and used for project collaboration, and documentation. Questions should be asked on the User Forum (link is on the left under Navigation) or on the user mailing lists.
To answer your question directly, OpenOffice.org does have a database component: it's called Base. If you want more information about Base, look in the OpenOffice.org help, and in the Wiki Documentation pages. --ccornell 07:09, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
