Bruce D'Arcus

I am an assistant professor of geography at Miami University of Ohio, where I teach and write about issues of culture and politics.

I am also co-project lead for the OpenOffice Bibliographic Project, the author of the XML Citation Style Language (CSL), and a member of the OpenDocument Technical Committee and its Metadata Subcommittee. With the sum of this mostly standards-focused work, I hope to dramatically improve the usefulness of OpenOffice and OpenDocument for a next-generation knowledge infrastructure. While focused on the needs of scholars, students and researchers, then, this work will have broader implications.
