Current agreement at 8daysaweek and oooforum:

While the administrators and moderators of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as quickly as possible, it is impossible to review every message. As a user you agree to any information you have entered above being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent the webmaster, administrator and moderators cannot be held responsible for any hacking attempt that may lead to the data being compromised.

This forum system uses cookies to store information on your local computer. We should add a section on the license for contributions.

--Ccornell 08:41, 14 September 2007 (CEST) The licensing is a very important part of the site. Sun documentation is released under the PDL, and the OOoAuthors documentation is released under CC (which has made it difficult to reuse content created by OOoAuthors). If we license the forum content under PDL it makes quite easy for us to reuse the text in the mainstream OOo documentation (eg: mine the forum for info to improve the application help).

TerryE 02:04, 15 September 2007 (CEST) -- We also need to remember that an agreement is an act by two parties. We need to make two points clear: one is that we cannot protect the content submitted by any user (c.f. the "If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly" clause on the wiki); we need to make assurances about what we will and will not use their email address for: basically for notification that they select in their profile, and under exceptional circumstance such as notification of change of membership status (e.g. someone propose for demotion from Volunteer or suspension due to breach of agreement under posting conditions (some form of spam count bar).
