Submission Guideline

Category

  • One subcategory needs to get selected
Error message: Categories field is required.

File

  • Filename does not matter, uniqueness is not enforced on the site
  • Extension does matter. Only the following extensions are accepted:
    • ott
    • otg
    • otp
    • ots
Error message: The extension is not allowed:
  • Mime type inside the template file in the file 'mimetype' needs to be from list:
    • application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.text-template
    • application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.graphics-template
    • application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.presentation-template
    • application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.spreadsheet-template

Template properties

One template may be connected to just one language.

All strings in the following fields have to be in that language.

Certain values have to be set in OpenOffice.org to generate a valid template:

OpenOffice.org -> File -> Properties... -> Tab: Description
  • Title
Error message: No title inside the template.
Success message: TITLE:
  • Keywords (seperated by colon: ,)
Error message: No keywords/tags inside the template.
Success message: KEYWORD:
  • Comments (handled as description)
Error message: No description inside the template.
Success message: DESCRIPTION:

Tab: User Defined

  • License
rename one field to 'License'
Enter html anchor link, or just text
Example: <a href="http://www.openoffice.org/licenses/BSD.pdf">BSD</a>
Error message: No license inside the template.
Success message: LICENSE:

Language of template is taken from:

Tools -> Options... -> Language Settings -> Languages -> Default languages for documents
You can not select nothing, so make sure it is always right.
Success message: LANGUAGE:

Now save your template as template and submitt it.

On success the following messages are shown:

  • The directory files/36 has been created.
  • Your OpenOffice.org Template 'Business Letter 1' has been saved
  • The submitted template is shown
