Broken link, "Download as a PDF or ODT"

The link at top of the page, "Download as a PDF or ODT", just points to a table of contents page, "MediaWiki:Collections/Developer's Guide - First Steps".

How can it be fixed?

The link is not broken. It works exactly as it is supposed to. You click the link and it takes you to the Collection for that book or chapter (in this case, the First Steps chapter. You then must click "Load this book as your current book" (link on the left tool bar. This will then take you into the PDF/ODT generation process. This ensures that you're always getting the latest information when you create your PDF or ODT document. If you want a static PDF that was build around the OOo version release date, you can go to Documentation/Wiki Books. Currently (as of this comment date) the 3.2.0 books are not yet ready. --ccornell 08:53, 1 March 2010 (UTC)
It might work exactly as it is supposed to, but not as I and presumably others expect it to. IMHO it would be better if the page
http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/DevGuide/FirstSteps/First_Steps were redesigned so that the contents of http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Collections/Developer%27s_Guide_-_First_Steps would be added below the introductory text. Then the download link could be changed into a real download link just as people would expect it to work. At least, I wouldn't have expected that I would have to click on "Download as a PDF or ODT" in order to get to the real contents, my initial thought was "Gosh, they are presenting me a Download link for these 10 lines of text? Are they mad?" Sorry, but that were exactly my thoughts.
If you don't mind, I'll change this in January 2013.

Furthermore I found that there is no link "Load this book as your current book" in the toolbox on the left side. I don't know what must be done to get this feature back.
I'm going to investigate. StuartRedmann (talk) 13:07, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
