platform-independant build stuff

We need:

  • a chapter for platform-independant build basics (build --from --prepare etc.).
  • a chapter for platform-independant Tips and Tricks (for stuff currently in Building_OpenOffice.org#Tips and Tricks etc.).

Development/OpenOffice.org Building Guide/Building on Linux already contains too much platform-independant info.

The Table Of Contents and the [[category]] markers are transcluded from the page, Documentation/Building Guide TOC.

To add a new page to the Building Guide:

  1. Click on the above link, and edit that page. Add the link to your new page, wherever it belongs in the list.
  2. If your new page already exists, check in Preview that the link works.
  3. If your new page does not exist, save the TOC page, then click on the redlink to create the new page.
  4. Add the following line to add the TOC and categories to your page:
