Big mistake with a "Call home" clause
I think that the first clause about requesting permission for use, is a big mistake. A "call home" clause is a violation of the freedom of the software. Potentially the logo is used everytime you download or use the OOo product. This is a privacy violation since it forces entities to become public (to the mailing list) to be able to operate.
I officially stand oppose to this clause and categorize as damaging to the spirit of Free software where "freedom" is really what is as stakes here.
