Version 2 - en ny ledare för OpenOffice.org

OpenOffice.org version 1 var den första produkten att förse användarna på massmarknaden med fördelarna av fri och öppen programvara genom att erbjuda nödvändiga program för det vardagliga datorarbetet helt utan kostnad. Översatt till mer än 30 språk och körbart i alla vanliga operativsystem (Windows, MacOS, GNU/Linux, Solaris m.fl.) används nu OpenOffice.org version 1 av tiotals miljoner nöjda användare.

Med version 2 blir det ännu bättre:

• det första kontorsprogrampaket att använda OpenDocumentFormat (ODF), den framtidssäkrade standarden för kontorsdokument
• lättare att installera, med ett helt nytt utseende, anpassat till operativsystemet
• mer intuitivt och lättare att använda än någonsin, med en mängd nya användarfunktioner
• introduktionen av en ny större komponent: Base; en lättanvänd databasbehandlare med en helt integrerad databas
• mer kompatibelt med andra programpaket; förstår nu även dunkla och sällan använda funktioner hos konkurrerande program

Pull in external data using the Data Pilot, and sort it, filter it, and produce subtotals and statistical analyses. Use previews to select from thirteen categories of 2-D and 3-D charts including line, area, column, pie, XY, stock and net with dozens of variants.
