The various functional groups of OpenOffice (QA, Development, User Exp., Documentation, Release Engineering, Marketing, Localization, etc.) are represented here. On every Monday 3pm German time (see here to convert to other time zones) this meeting will track the status and the detailed schedule of deliveries fot the upcoming releases.

The members of this meeting review critical issues and deliverables for the releases and agree on the appropriate handling of those issues. They coordinate the actual release schedule.

  • Release Candidate 7 is available
  • Issue 115705 Tab within hanging indents does not work correctly anymore after save/reload has been nominated on the releases mailing list. Talks to corresponding developers and QA gave my the following informations: It's currently not "just" a fix, it's also some refactoring. The scenario is very complex, e.g. there are dependencies / impacts on RTL and import of documents. So very complex area and of course test cases. Mechtilde asked to fix it for version 3.3.1 instead. Martin: "To me it sounds like it's complex to fix and test this issue. I would love to wait for the final results of the corresponding CWS and integrate it into the next milestone when I can assume everything is save and no new regressions are being introduced with it."
  • QA approval for RC7 is to be expected at next monday's release status meeting

  • René asked about a new OOO330 CWS he saw at cws-announce mailing list. Martin was not able to clarify details regarding this CWS during the release status meeting and he did not have bullet proven information about further stoppers. He said 'We have to see what the feedback on rc6 will be'.

  • The OOO330m14 build is already finished and upload is in progress. This is the Release Candidate 4 for OpenOffice.org 3.3
  • Martin Damboldt mentioned issue 115431 as potential stopper issue. It's a regression to the former 3.2.1 release.
  • The 3.3 schedule in the wiki will be adjusted accordingly for an RC5 next week. This shouldn't stop anybody from taking a close look at RC4.
  • So this is a heads up for release engineering to start a another OOO330 build later this week when the fix/cws for the datapilot issue becomes available / approved.

For issue 115803 Pavel Janik mentioned it is an issue caused by a wrong installation and it is not a stopper.
  • Martin Damboldt added issue 114705 which is not resolved on MacOS

  • A few CWS containing stoppers are still in the pipeline (meaning they are in status "new" or "ready for QA")
  • An OOO330m10 build (aka RC1) is planned to start later this week so this means that you will see the first upload of RC1 binaries earliest just before the next weekend.
  • L10N last bug fixes delivery deadline was met in time. (was 30th September)
  • So all in all it seems we are in good shape for the RC1

  • Issue 87596 has been removed from the 3.3 stopper list because the risk and effort for this issue is too high to be fixed within 3.3 timeframe
  • All in all there is still a significant number of CWS / Issues with target 3.3. These should be reviewed if there are candidates which are not "a must" for 3.3 and the others should be worked on asap.
  • Please keep in mind that the 30th September 2010 is the last L10N bug fix delivery deadline. Very soon after this we are going into Release Candidate phase and the first of such will be done.

  • This L10N TCM test cycle goes from 26th August till 2nd September 2010.
  • So be prepared to find latest L10N in the next milestones after that date.
  • The absolutely last L10N date for the 3.3 release is 30th September. That's the "last L10N bug fixes delivery deadline".
  • René asked about issue 114075. Martin answered that the status is not correct. He will ping Mikhail regarding the issue because the image Stella provided is already available.
  • The 3.3 schedule has been updated to reflect the L10N delivery deadline
  • The next OOO330m7 will be scheduled to start earliest end of this week to meet the L10N TCM cycle end.

  • Issue 113084 is currently the only stopper issue for OOo 3.3 Beta
  • Mechtilde asked if CWS dba33g will be integrated within the next build. Estimated due date doesn't allow this
  • Pavel Janik mentioned readlicense_oo build failures (OOOO330m1) that need to be solved. The m1 requires a DTD to be installed locally otherwise the build fails, he said. Pavel doesn't have more details. He will file an issue as soon as he has his machine ready. Jens-Heiner Rechtien want's to have a look at it. René provided an IRC log about the discussion about this. René mentioned Issue 113227

  • Mechtilde asked for help to consolidate some Samba/CIFS issues
  • Product Update Service notifications for OpenOffice.org 3.2.1 have been activated. Joost will have a look at erroneous notifications of 2.4 milestone
  • a discussion about the integration of CWS avmedia102 into OOO330 took place. For details please read the log file. Update: Martin decided to back out avmedia102 again because of missed timeline, risk for further schedule would be too high --Mh 10:44, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
