How do I perform a word count of my document?
Open the file, then select: File -> Properties. Click on the "Statistics" tab. The word count (and other statistics) will appear in the dialog.
You can also use "Tools" drop down menu and choose "Word Count". In this dialog, you will find the count of words and characters of the selection and the whole document.
