Danube Evening Cruise with Dinner

Date: September 2, 2010 (19:30-21:30)

Departure: 19:30 from the Chain Bridge port (located just a short walk from the conference center)

During the 3-hour journey diners can savour the sight of an illuminated Budapest skyline. While you glide down the Danube River, our English-speaking guide will briefly introduce you to some of the most interesting sights in the Capital. A Hungarian-style buffet will also be served on board. The evening program will offer you the opportunity to chat with fellow conference participants while sampling a few Hungarian dishes and taking in the city all at the same time.

Price: 20 € per person for cruise with English-speaking guide, 1 drink and buffet dinner

The event will take place with a minimum of 50 registered guests.

Reservations will be confirmed on a first-come first-serve basis.

Reservation deadline: August 30, 2010

(Local registration at CEU, Nador 9, is also possible no later than August 31, 16:00 at the registartion/info desk.)

Széchenyi Bath

Date: September 3, 2010, Friday

Finishing an exciting but evenly tiresome conference you just can't do better than going to the best public bath in Europe.

  • Programs&Timeline:
    • Meeting at 19:00 at the station of Széchenyi Fürdő, - M1, Yello line -,
    • Bathing till 21:00 than leaving for
    • a late Dinner with some goodbye drinks from 22:00 to morning at Kertem pub (open air) in the Városliget park, walking distance from the Bath (in case of rain at Blue Tomato pub in the city)
  • Requirement:
    • swimming dress
    • towel

Buda Castle

Date: September 4, 2010, Saturday

For everyone who have time and enthusiasm for history and historic buldings

  • Programs&Timeline:
    • Meeting at 10:00 at Clark Adam Ter, Lanchid Budai-hidfo (Adam Clark Square, at Chain Bridge, Buda-end)
    • Up into the Castle at 10:15 by Sikló (€3) than walk around pathes, visiting museums by request.Avaliable Museums:
    • Lunch at 13:00 at Szent Jupát restaurant (named after the Hungarian boat which sailed around the globe)
  • Requirement:
    • comfortable shoes
