Who needs an account?

The user information on this wiki is publicly available: you can read, copy, or download it without having an account, or without logging in. You only need an account if you wish to contribute to our work here on Apache OpenOffice (your efforts are certainly welcome!). Contributions could include fixing or enhancing the documentation, or participating in the design discussions you may find here.

How to get an account

Normally, you could create an account yourself. However, due to a spam attack against this wiki, we are temporarily following this procedure:

Please write to the dev mailing list, with a subject like, "Request Mwiki account". (We have several wikis here; this one is "Mwiki".)

Please include:

• your choice of user names
• your email address (if different from the one you send from).

A sysop will create your account, and you will receive an email with further instructions. Follow those instructions to confirm and activate your account here. Welcome!
