Hitek School Group NOV started their individual internship project Music Database on May 25th, 2009.

The group consists of the following members:


1 week (May 25 - 31, 2009)

During this week we:
1. Familiarized ourselves with OOo database, including: "Getting starting with Base", "Beginners - Example Database - Base Tutorial"; books: "Getting Started with OpenOffice.org 3", "Begining OpenOffice 3 (From Novice to Professional)", "OpenOffice.org for Dummies", "OpenOffice.org Macros Explained", "A Conceptual Guide to OpenOffice.org 3"
2. Learned about competitive products on the market
3. Discussed some ideas regarding Music Database (concept, design: tables, relations)
4. Created draft set of tables for Music Database on the bases of OOo database


2 week (June 1 - 7, 2009)

During this week we:
1. Started to create draft variant of GUI (View) for the Music Database,
2. Started to create plan anf template for the specification,
3. Optimised and tuned draft set of the tables and partly realised relationships between the ones,
4. Discussed some ideas regarding functionality of the Music Database


3 week (June 8 - 15, 2009)

During this week we:
1. Continued to create GUI for the Music Database,
2. Continued to realise relationships between the tables,
3. Continued to define the functionality of the Music Database


4 week (June 15 - 21, 2009)

During this week we:
1. Clarified the functionality of the Music Database and adjust the specification
2. Optimised the structure and content of tables of the Music Database in accordance with the specification
3. Improved GUI for the Music Database" in accordance with the specification 4. Continued to learn database design theory
