Formati di file che possono essere elaborati da OOo

OpenOffice.org può aprire un'ampia varietà di formati, in aggiunta a quelli OpenDocument.

Apertura dei documenti di testo

Oltre ai formati OpenDocument (.odt, .ott, .oth e .odm), con Writer 3 è possibile aprire i formati usati da OOo 1.x (.sxw, .stw e .sxg) e i seguenti formati di documento di testo:

All'apertura di file .htm o .html (usati per le pagine web), OOo adatta Writer per lavorare con questi file.

Apertura dei fogli di calcolo

Oltre ai formati OpenDocument (.ods e .ots), con Calc 3 è possibile aprire i formati OOo 1.x (.sxc e .stc) e i seguenti formati di foglio di calcolo:

Apertura delle formule

Oltre ai formati dei file OpenDocument Formula, con Math 3 è possibile aprire i formati dei file usati da OOo 1.x (.sxm), StarMath (.smf) e MathML (.mml).

Se si apre un documento Word che incorpora un oggetto di equazione nell'editor, selezionare Strumenti > Opzioni > Carica/Salva > Microsoft Office, e l'oggetto sarà automaticamente convertito in OpenOffice.org Math.

Formati di file che possono essere scritti da OOo

Il salvataggio del file in formato OpenDocument garantisce la corretta visualizzazione del file quando viene dato ad un'altra persona o quando il file viene aperto con una versione più recente di OpenOffice.org. Si consiglia caldamente l'utilizzo di ODF come formato di file predefinito. Comunque, se lo desiderate, potete salvare i file in altri tipi di formato.


Suggerimento
 Quando volete distribuire un documento che non deve essere modificato, o non volete che sia modificato, l'opzione più sicura è quella di convertire il documento in formato PDF. OOo consente di convertire i documenti in PDF in maniera molto semplice.

Nota
 Il formato .rtf è un formato comunemente usato per il trasferimento di file di testo tra le applicazioni, tuttavia potrebbe verificarsi una perdita di formattazione e di immagini. Di conseguenza è preferibile usare altri formati.

 Per utilizzare i filtri dei dispositivi mobili per AportisDoc (Palm), Pocket Word e Pocket Excel è necessario il Java Runtime Environment.

Salvataggio delle presentazioni

Oltre ai formati OpenDocument (.odp, .otp e .odg), Impress 3 può salvare nei seguenti formati:

Salvataggio dei file grafici

Draw 3 può salvare solo nei formati OpenDocument Disegno (.odg e .otg), nei formati OpenOffice.org 1.x (.sxd e .std) e nel formato StarDraw (.sda, .sdd e .vor).

Tuttavia Draw può anche esportare nei formati BMP, EMF, EPS, GIF, JPEG, MET, PBM, PCT, PGM, PNG, PPM, RAS, SVG, SVM, TIFF, WMF e XPM.

Writer/Web può salvare nei seguenti formati di file

Documento HTML (.html e .htm), come HTML 4.0 Transitional

Opening graphic files

In addition to OpenDocument formats (.odg and .otg), Draw 3 can open the formats used by OOo 1.x (.sxd and .std) and the following graphic formats:

Opening formula files

In addition to OpenDocument Formula (.odf) files, Math 3 can open the format used by OOo 1.x (.sxm), StarMath, (.smf), and MathML (.mml) files.

When opening a Word document that contains an embedded equation editor object, if the option for it is checked in Tools > Options > Load/Save > Microsoft Office, the object will be automatically converted to an OpenOffice.org Math object.

File formats OOo can save to

Saving in an OpenDocument format guarantees the correct rendering of the file when it is transferred to another person or when the file is re-opened with a later version of OpenOffice.org. It is strongly recommended that you use ODF as default file format. However, you can save files in other formats, if you wish.

Saving drawings

Draw 3 can only save in the OpenDocument Drawing formats (.odg and .otg), the OpenOffice.org 1.x formats (.sxd and .std) and StarDraw format (.sda, .sdd, and .vor).

However, Draw can also export to BMP, EMF, EPS, GIF, JPEG, MET, PBM, PCT, PGM, PNG, PPM, RAS, SVG, SVM, TIFF, WMF, and XPM.

Writer/Web can save in these formats

  • HTML document (.html and .htm), as HTML 4.0 Transitional
  • OpenOffice.org 1.0 HTML Template (.stw)
  • OpenOffice.org 2.x HTML Template (.oth)
  • StarWriter/Web 4.0 and 5.0 (.vor)
  • Text (OpenOffice.org Writer/Web) (.txt)
