Generating of the update feed
Since OOo 2.3 the click to 'Updates' in the OOo Extension manager calls an URL: http://updateext.services.openoffice.org/ProductUpdateService/check.Update
What goes into the feed?
- Extension needs to be published
- Extension release needs to be published
- The uploaded file has to be an '.oxt'
- It has to contain a description.xml file
- which has to have
- identifier
- version in Format a.b.c
- which has to have
- The latest, with highest version number, extension release is used.
