GEOMEAN

Returns the geometric mean of the arguments.

Syntax:

GEOMEAN(number1; number2; ... number30)

number1 to number30 are up to 30 numbers or ranges containing numbers. Numbers must not be zero.

The geometric mean of a₁, a₂, ... a_n is defined as (a₁ . a₂. ... . a_n)^1/n.

Example:

GEOMEAN(1; 2; 4)

returns 2, calculated as (1 * 2 * 4)^1/3.

Issues:

• Calc assumes that logical values are 1 (TRUE) and 0 (FALSE). Excel ignores logical values.
