How do I turn off automatic word completion?


  • Open a text document.
  • From the pulldown menus, select Tools → AutoCorrect Options.
  • Select the Word Completion tab.
  • Deselect the checkbox to the left of Enable word completion.
  • Click  OK .


ALTERNATIVE METHOD:

  • For OpenOffice.org 3.2 and 3.3, open a text document.
  • From the pulldown menus, select Format → AutoCorrect → AutoCorrect Options.
  • Select the Word Completion tab.
  • Deselect the check box to the left of Enable word completion.
  • Click  OK .
