How do I stop OpenOffice.org from inserting tabs in front of the cursor position when I click on an empty paragraph or empty table cell??

This is a function called Direct Cursor in the OpenOffice.org:

  • From the main menu bar, select Tools > Options.
  • In the dialog that appears, select OpenOffice.org Writer > Formatting Aids.
  • Unclick Direct Cursor.
  • Click ok.
