Certification/Petition

Mision

Deliver a complete certification program that allow the project to sustain credibitility within the marketplace by setting key educational skills in order to use efficiently the product and set a standard on teaching OpenOffice.org. The project should hold the officiality and brand recognition of OpenOffice.org and deliver the syllabus, books, testing, training and evaluation protocols.

Status

Currently the certification project is hosted as a project of Education and has a completed syllabus and an ongoing work regarding the documentation literature label as "study guide" for the delivery of the training.

Goals

• Finish the study guide documentation
• Create a 'teacher guide' documentation
• Document procedures on doing the training and testing
• Hold standards and applications to test and qualify

Current needs (what we want from CC)

Currently we are looking for finance the operations on distribution and promotion of the certification. We are dealing with funding that could provide a first round investement but the requirement is to assure this is a valid certification from OpenOffice.org.

In order to proceed with this opportunity we need the CC to recognize the project as an official effort that will represent OpenOffice.org.
