Before you start building, you must ensure that your system satisfies the recommended software and hardware requirements for the type of system you are working on. For Mac OS X, these are as follows:

Hardware requirements

  • one or more reasonable fast CPUs, x-way CPU's recommended.
  • 1 GB Ram ( 2 GB recommended )
  • 10 GB free disk space

Software requirements

  • minimum version is Mac OS X 10.4 (aka Tiger)
  • C/C++ Compiler OpenOffice.org has been successfully built with XCode 2.4.1, older versions are deprecated.
