Welcome to the Art Project! We're glad you're interested in joining us. To get started, please follow the instructions below.

If you experience any problems, please contact us at the Art project mailing list (it may take some time for your email to be answered, because it has to be manually moderated).

Step 1: Register at OpenOffice.org

Create an OpenOffice.org account. This will let you subscribe to our mailing list.

Step 2: Subscribe to our Mailing List

The mailing list is where most of our discussions take place.

You can subscribe to the mailing list on this page (look for the art@marketing.openoffice.org list). Please make sure you are logged in, or else you won't be able to subscribe.

Step 3: Get in Touch

Let us know who you are, along with any ideas you have, by sending a short email to art@marketing.openoffice.org.

Step 4: Register at the OpenOffice.org Wiki

Create an account at the OpenOffice.org wiki. This will allow you to upload images and contribute to our wiki pages.

Step 5: Add Yourself to our List of Team Members

  • Create a wiki user page. You can do this by clicking on your username in the top-right corner of any wiki page.
  • Add yourself to the list of Art project members.
    • Add "[[Category:Art]]" to the top of your user page in the wiki.

What's Next?

Congratulations! You are now a member of the Art Project... and you might be wondering what to do next. Here are a few suggestions:

  • Start by reading or joining some discussions at the art mailing list.
  • Head over to the Resources page for files that might be useful for creating artwork.
  • Have a look at our To-Do list, and see if there's something that interests you.
