I like some of the ideas here, including the notion of online distribution of templates. Howeever, I think it'd be a big mistake to assume a centralized repository of templates. Rather, one should design around users being able to "subscribe" to multiple repositories. Also, on a related note, I'd like to be able to load templates from URIs.
