A video editing tool will allow you to edit videos. It can also be used for editing screencasts, when a more advanced edition is desired. If for example you wish to capture the screen and record the audio separatedly a video editor might be the right choice. Depending on the tool you use for the screen capture you can decide if a video editor is the right choice.
