Some tools to help reviewing existing translations in UI and help contents.
Create Pootle Search Plug-in
Recent web browser supports embedded search plug-in to search. It can be make one for your locale using Ready2Search[1] easily.
Here is an example to make one for ja locale:
- Open Ready2Search page.
- the search name: Pootle UI-ja target
- the front of search term: https://translate.apache.org/ja/aoo40/translate.html#sfields=target&search=
- description of the search: Pootle Search in UI-ja target
- input encoding: UTF-8
- output encoding: not specified
- Push Make search plug-in button
- Push Download the setting of OpenSearch to store the result
- Deploy it according to your web browser instructions
The front of search term should be: https://translate.apache.org/{LOCALE}/{CATEGORY}/translate.html#sfields=target&search=
- LOCALE: ISO language and country code for your target locale.
- CATEGORY: aoo40 or aoo40help
sfields specifies the context to search in. It should be one of source: source text,target: translated text, notes: comments and locations: position. If you want to search in the two or more context at a time, separate multiple items with ",", c.g. sfields=source,target.
If you want to share it with your coworker, sent the setting URL shown after the creation.
