Line Numbering
Line numbering puts line numbers in the margin. The line numbers are displayed on screen and are printed. Figure 37 shows an example with numbering on every line.
Click Tools → Line Numbering and select the Show numbering option in the top left corner of the Line Numbering dialog box (Figure 38). Then click OK .
